News from Executive Forum of the Lehigh Valley
The Executive Forum of the Lehigh Valley, a local executive resource group, selected a new president. Rob Baker, President & CEO of Christmas City Studio, was voted to head the business group for the next two years. “I am excited to lead the Executive Forum because I believe in our mission and that what we are creating is truly a unique, mutually beneficial relationship for all of our members,” says Baker.
Baker, like most Executive Forum of the Lehigh Valley members, has enjoyed membership in the group. Originally joining the group in 2012, Christmas City Studio management team has benefited from networking with peers as well as the education and resource that the organization provides. In 2015, Rob Baker and his partner Matt Newman purchased Christmas City Studio from Rob’s father George Baker. They now lead Christmas City Studio into their 42nd year in business. Rob Baker credits the Executive Forum with providing him a network of trusted professionals and business insight as he ascended to the helm of Christmas City Studio. Baker shares that he still relies on the Executive Forum to solve new challenges, but he is also happy to give back to the organization that helped him.
Admittedly, Baker was willing to take the lead of the organization because of its tradition of strong leaders. Baker was awarded the baton by Sandra Kuhns, President of K and H Custom Window Treatments who served the previous two-year term that expired at the end of 2018. “I have got big shoes to fill. Ultimately she put us in a great position to be successful,” says Baker.
“Rob has always been an active member of our group, and he brings new energy to take the Executive Forum into the future,” says Kuhns. Kuhns’ leadership excellence during her tenure is evidenced by multiple achievements including a rebranding campaign of the group, several successful fundraisers and membership drives. “The Executive Forum is thankful for Sandy’s leadership these past two years,” says Baker.
